So what's everyone's take on the 16 yr old girl from France that plays baseball?
being touted as the first female headed to mlb? Really.
I think that's still a long long way away from happening.
Short video clip on you tube, but didn't look like the next coming of Omar to me... jmho

If someone does draft her, it will be a marketing ploy to generate interest in the team.

I'm not saying we can't have girls in MLB. It's just that this one ain't MLB Quality...

There is nothing I can see from that video, which would make her MLB material.. But I think I would be neat to see a woman play in the big leagues...

On the other hand it's been a good ole boy network for over 100 years.. Gonna take a Special player to make that happen.

Exactly what I was seeing in the video, nothing special at all, not even close.
mlb could use some publicity, games not what it used to be in terms of attendance etc., but definitely looks like more of a marketing play than anything.

Well, is there anything in that video that would NOT make her a MLB prospect? ie., poor mechanics, slow release, bad swing, non athletic? because from what I see, she definitely has very smooth mechanics, good footwork, very quick release, good quick swing, and looks pretty athletic to me..especially for a 16 yo.

She just didn't impress me as having any more tools than thousands of other hopefuls trying to be an mlb player.
i didn't see anything in that short clip that was say highlight worthy. granted it was a very very short video, but if you're going to tout someone as he next coming of Jeter in female form i think any video you put out there should show something way above what they did. to me it feels like nothing more than a slow news day and an attempt to bring in non baseball fans to the MLB by creating a media sensation about the whole deal. jmho
