I've been out of the softball world and off this forum for 5 or 6 years now. It's kind of nice to see that some of the old timers are still here. The topics all look familiar. I guess it's true that the more things change, the more they stay the same. I'm hoping my granddaughter takes up the sport :D

Not a chance! Went through that with my '99. Waaaay too stressful. I'm hoping we can direct her toward the outfield...lol.

I just started the pitching lessons thing this week and my first student, new to me, was here looking for a new instructor. Apparently her instructor she's been with for 4 years just had a baby and told them she wouldn't be doing it anymore. She's a college graduate and from what I could see has done a wonderful job showing this kid all the right things. There are so many self-proclaimed "Experts" out there taking people's money, This instructor doesn't appear to be one of them.

it's a shame to see a young lady that really seemed to know what's she was doing leave the instruction ranks. I get it. I understand it. I'm happy for her.

Still sad to see life take such a talent away from the game.

I wonder if her daughter pitches?
