2014 Fall Ball

Thunder Elite is proud to announce that we will again be hosting a Fall Ball League for 2015 age teams.

*Will have age groups. 10u - 18u (this is the 5th year of the league)

* All games will be played at:Liberty Township Park and possibly 2 other local fields.

*The park has three covered pavilions with picnic tables, an excellent concession stand (reasonably priced), playground, and vast amount of team warmup areas.

*Cost $350

* $100.00 deposit will reserve your teams spot.

*Must be paid in full by 9/7.

*Checks can be made out to Thunder Elite Fastpitch. See website for entry form.

*Games will be double headers played on Sundays: 9/7, 9/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5

*If your game is rained out on Sunday,it will be played on following Saturday. Every effort will be made make sure your games are played.

*If a rainout is not made up,the refund policy is: No refund for one rainout, then a $25/team per week for 2nd, 3rd, etc

*All games will actually mean something. On 10/11 - 10/12 your team will be seeded into a Tournament to crown the Fall Ball Champs in each age group

* Seeding will be determined by record. tie-breakers: head to head, runs allowed.

* Games will be 75 minutes finish the inning. No ITB.

* Game times will be:1st double header: 9:30-12:20. 2nd double header:12:30-3:20. 3rd double header: 3:30-6:20.

* Home team will switch after each game.

* Each team will be required to provide a new softball each week.

* 10 run mercy rule after 5 innings

* 1 Umpire per game

* All games will follow NSA rules for the most part. ex. Courtesy runner, EP's, etc.

* Be prepared to play 1/2 hour before start of your scheduled doubleheader

For teams that are concerned with not being able to play a Fall Tourney because of weekly comittment to Sunday double headers... I am willing to work around a tournament weekend by allowing you to play 3 games on 2 other weekends so you will still get your games in. We have been creative in the past and will continue to make sure all teams get their Fall Ball games played.

The weather in NE Ohio is amazing... Yesterday all September 21 games were played at Churchill Park and Liberty Park, but the 16u and 18u games at Jones Field were washed out. We will send out a makeup schedule for Jones Field shortly. These games will be played Saturday the 27th time and place tbd.

All Fall Ball games for tomorrow are canceled. We will play those games next Sat and the Fall Tournament on Sunday. I will send email to all coaches with details on Mon/Tue.
