Wow, so many great shows!

No particular order:

1. Soprano's ... (THE BEST SHOW EVER, PERIOD!)
2. Fernwood/America Tonight ... (oldie with Fred Willard & Martin Mull - couple of "nuts")
3. American Idol ... (more about the hopes & dreams of the contestants than the judges for me, fun watching Paula attempt to string syllables together into real words & sentences though, it was a little pitchy for me dog)
4. All in the Family ... (C'mon, you KNOW he was usually right)
5. Cheers ... (who wouldn't want a place like that down the block?)
6. Curb Your Enthusiasm ... (I can hear Wanda now: "LARRY DAVID, ...", or, Jeff's wife: "Larry, you ^%@&^$*& 'er"
7. Green Acres / Beverly Hillbillies ... (going to cheat and list together for an extra pick)
8. X Files ... (hmm, what was it about Scully, so darn HOT??)
9. Bugs Bunny & Friends ... (always felt bad for Yosemite Sam - a product of his environment, all he needed was some "understanding")
10. Married With Children ... (call me cynical, Al is my hero stuck amidst a bunch of misfits)
11. South Park/Family Guy ... (you gotta see the the South Park about Tourette's Syndrome, or the Paris Hilton episode)

For variety shows, a couple of DVDs I recently purchased that I think are great (and I'm not even a country music fan, to say the least) are the Best of the Johnny Cash show and one with highlights from the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. Believe me, both of these are worth a look. Both shows aired in the late 60s and early 70s and I can vaguely remember seeing them as a kid.

I don't think Central Ohio were able to see Big Chuck and Hoolihan or their predecessor - Gouhlardi. I grew up in Wooster and we got the Cleveland Stations there.

Hoolihan and Big Chuck was way better than Big Chuck and Little John. Goulardi was great with froggy and his fire crackers. And dont forget Super Host.

Totally agree. I remember the "people of a certain ethnic origin" skits they use to do. Gouhlardi influenced me to "firecracker" my entire collection of model cars as well as a few boats and airplanes. Those shows were a blast to watch but blowing up a model car at 1:00am got me grounded a few times.
