Some NLL and TCL coaches are not poll worthy?? Hmmm. At least they should have the ability to vote for themselves, don't you think? ( I know this is all in fun and unscientific, I'm just sayin'!)

You are correct. I am guessing Uber needs you to pass on to him those coaches' names so that he can add them to poll.

Im not voting because one of those coaches are my boss...lol...
I have either coached with or against all of these coaches in some way, I can say this is a very good group and all of them bring something differant (in a good way)to the table...
We are lucking in this area to have this list...

Yes there is a preseason plaque lol. You can nominate any coach you want, On the bucket. Its ridiculous to be offended that your DD's coach isn't on my list. Its a public thread, talk about your coach and why you think they are a top coach, that was the point of the thread. Softball conversation lol.

Not offended at all Uber. My DD's coach is on the list. Just seems that in fairness, if the thread is for the top coach in the NLL and the TCL, then each coach would be listed. No problem. Talk away folks, it will provide interesting reading. Every coach listed is a quality coach. As for "nominating" other coaches, just off the top of my head, I believe its Coach Cress at BG, Coach Kralovic at Rossford, and Coach Boisselle at Waite. But things could have changed in the off season.

Must not have any SUA fans or parents posting on here, Coach Amy is a very good coach.

I voted for Coach Fig., Before my DD went to Whitmer I heard a few negatives about him from a few high school coaches who shall remain nameless. But they were WAY off and after getting to know him as a coach I realized those coaches really have no idea what they were talking about in regards to Fig. The amount of players that have graduated that keep in touch with him is amazing, I chuckled when my DD told me he would use science to teach something to the kids, never been around a high school coach that had his finger on the total pulse of his team like him. No brow beating, always complimentary to the other team and other teams coaches in post game meetings win or lose. The guy totally gets high school softball, meaning the clicks, the demands on high school players and he is a teacher first and coach second. Grades are very important to him. Last year when I worked concessions at a Whitmer football game as a softball fundraiser, the amount of students and alumn both softball players and non softball players, girls and boys that came to the concesssion to talk with him was amazing. Its clear he has had a positive impact on a lot of kids at that school.

I have a TON of respect for coach Fig.

Another coach is Coach Kujawa, Ironically he was the one coach that I talked to before my DD went to Whitmer, that spoke highly of Fig. I knew coach Kujawa was a good coach, my middle DD who is 9 went to his summer camp this past year and all I heard for about 2 months was "hey dad, Coach Kujawa says land like an airplane not a helicopter" as one example lol, in our first game after the camp, my DD was playing RF for me and a ball was hit to LF and went by the LFer and all I see is my DD running past everybody in the OF to get the ball and throw it in. I said wow great job, and she says Coach Norm says to back up like crazy in the OF. I'm thinking to myself Hmmmm, I've told her the samething a 100 times lol, but I guess not as good as Norm.

Norm did a really cool thing a few years ago when he was coaching Central, it was Central's senior night, we played them and he announced all of Whitmer's seniors and gave each kid a rose...our parents myself included thought that was a very cool and classy thing to do.

I read a lot of posts on OFC, and I'm glad we live in NWO lol, we are lucky to have as many good high school coaches as we have here in NWO.

Agreed Uber. There are some tremendous coaches in Northwest Ohio, and for all the high school softball bashing that goes on here on the OFC I am glad that for the most part, it doesn't seem to apply to NWO. We have some great high school teams and I look forward to high school ball every spring.

I would break this into two parts.
Coach Kyle is my choice for the best/ most ardent/ relentless teacher of fundamentals and Coach Gwozdz would be my choice for best game strategy coach.

What does Gwozdz do that makes him your choice for best game strategy coach?

I believe that he doesn't overuse the small ball game. Many coaches over coach that aspect. He does take great advantage of the squeeze play though. Let's face it though pitching is 90% or so of the game. If you have a good one they are going to make the coach look pretty good. JMHO.

Wow.... what a tough voting decision this was. After considering each coach, I asked myself why to vote for them. Some of the coaches are only in their 2nd or 3rd year so it would be difficult to assess how they are doing.
I was not too surprised at the top two vote getters as both have superior knowledge of the game. The hard thing is that both of these coaches are only in their 2nd year of coaching at their present school.

Hard for me to vote against Coach Radabaugh. Most well rounded team year in and year out and maybe the most consistant program the last ten years.
