Top Coaches in NWO

I was sitting here reading all these posts about who`s who as players But I was wondering who are the TOP coaches in this area. Not just in wins but in teaching the game and taking young ladies to the next level to be succsesful in college. I am looking for HS but if there is a Travel coach you want to include thats OK( Some are both I know) just wondering

I have to agree with R. Gwodzs,Ryan Demars, Norm Kujawa and Bob D ick . Dont know enough about the coach of AW's tatics, But he should be on the list, I just know he won a State Championship as a Head coach and one as an asst. I dont think anybody else on the list can say the same thing

I think I would add:

Phil Kurfis Irish, AW and a excellent hitting coach

Brenda Radabaugh-Clay

Mickey Arquette- Wizards, AW Former Owens/P-burg head coach

And IMO the absolute best coach in the area hands down if you want your DD to learn something about the game and their ability is Daune Lanham of Owens and Down and Dirty softball camps. He has taken a #2 pitcher in High school and got her D1 scholorship after 2 years with him.

Once again with the some negatives saved ? Thanks for your POSITIVE list but I was only asking about good coaches and what they have accomplished in the game. But I ain`t mad at ya I just wish we could focus on the postive parts of this great game. there are to many issues in the world to be dogin on coaches and players all the time. I know there are some real JEMS out there that should not belong but that topic should be SAVED till later ;D ;D ;D ;D

Mark Hamman of AW is one of the top coaches in the area. Anybody who's worked with him Knows that!
Rob Gwozds, Springfield, is another excellent area coach.
Brenda Radabaugh, Clay, is the best coach in the City league.
Ralph Kridel, Wizards, Old NV coach, is one of the best teachers of the game in NW Ohio.
Norn Kajawa, Formerly Central JV, great teacher and student of the game should have been the New varsity coach at central with his abilities.

I'm not so sure you can seperate quality coaching from winning. I'm much more positive you can't seperate quality coaching from winning consistantly over a long period of time. No administration would keep a coach only for wins if that coach didn't have the support of the community. And let us not forget, these are not all hand picked girls in High School. The landscape is always changing. For us at Anthony Wayne, we couldn't be happier with any other coach than MARK HAMANN. Whether it was his tenure as head coach at Perrysburg where they won there STATE TITLE in 1991 or his tenure as Asst. Coach and Co Head Coach and now Head Coach at A.W with a STATE TITLE in 2003, you can't deny his positive effect on his players and ability to coach the game. Seven of the last 11 years A.W. has been the Champion or Co -Champion of the NLL. That includes alot of graduations and personnel changes. Sure, I may be a "Homer", but if I fall over dead tomorrow, that doesn't change his records one bit. "QUALITY STANDS THE TEST OF TIME AND PERFORMANCE".

Thunder is absolutley right. Criteria for being a top line coach shouldn't be based on conjecture but more on evidence. Anthony Wayne has a very talented coach in both his knowledge of the game and his ability to teach it. His teams demonstrate it every year by the way they preform.

Uber,Dragzilla and Thunder. Thats what I was looking for, Coaches who make a DIFFERANCE not only in the game of softball but for the girls. Thunder you metioned "not all hand picked girls in high school" I personally believe thats what makes Hamann`s sucsses out at AW that more impressive. I may be opening a sticky topic but IMHO you play with the hand that is dealt to you in HS and work with what you got. Not saying at all that there is no coaching in travel ball but you also get to go to try-outs and hand pick your team. Thanks Guys

Its easy to figure out if somebody is posting under a different name if they use a logo from Photobucket, much harder when they dont. Thats how I was able to 100% figure out who you were Saved. You have the same account Number and name as somebody else who posts on here. You just right click the logo and look at the properties lol, like in your case it says BucketJockey in the URL. So I had suspected who you were, so I right clicked on the logo of your other screen name and there it was Bucketjockey! lol
