Out of the MOAC, I would say that Seniors Morgan Heacock from Mt. Gilead and Staci Graham from Highland should have great seasons.

Morgan led the league last year as a junior batting 0.486 with 35 hits in 72 at bats.

Staci batted 0.405 with 30 hits in 74 at bats, she also had 2 homeruns.

FYI, pouncer1's dd just turned 13, I doubt he's looking to add her to the list.

Nothing wrong with recognizing a good hitter, and you don't have to be their dad.

MyDD99,

First of all, welcome to the site. I see your a first time poster, right......

Let's put it this way. If we got rid of bragging about our daughters or their teams, 90% of the post's on this site would be gone, sorry thats just the way it is.

PurpleJack,

If not a dad, then and mom, sister, cousin, step sister, friend, teammate, aunt or so on. A week or so ago, I actually read a Pittsburgh Power fan complementing the Ohio Ice, that's more refreshing than Frank Spano opening all the doors at the dome on a sticky day.

PassTheMustard, your pretty blunt for someone who has single digit posts. May I assume you go by a different username? JMHO, but I don't see anything wrong with opposing coaches, players or families recognizing a ball player's accomplishments! Good luck in 2006-Lee Pyles Central Ohio Stingrays. :)

who else is going to brag on a player but someone who knows them and what the can and have done. nothing wrong with a little bragging. the topic is the top hitters for the spring after all. its kind of interesting to see what some kids have done.

I agree timac. If someone gets on here and brags about their own kid, I think that is not necessary. To me that is not an objective view point.

One of the best hitters I have seen is Catrece Mayweather with Olentangy. If she has the kind of year we are hoping she has, O should go a long way.

An up and coming big stick to watch is Casey w/ the 10u Stingrays. I don't know her stats, but have seen her in action. Glad she's on our team!! Go Stingrays!

pass the mustard: Just in case you have an inkling of seriousness to your comments about the Stingray organization, I wanted to share my thoughts w/ you....

Our dd played on a travel team for two years (she was asked to join the team at 7) that always represented themselves w/ class. This year they were unable to form a 10u team (seems to be a common problem these days) so we investigated other avenues. We had the pleasure of watching several teams in action and what their organization may or may not represent. Although there are several classy organizations in Ohio, we decided upon joining the Stingray organization based on it's excellent softball reputation and how they handle the player and the families. Having played against the Stingrays for two years, and now playing for them, we have seen NOTHING but a class act. Hope you will share in my positive thoughts this spring! Good luck to you and your dd this season! And, again, GO STINGRAYS!! ;D

Not my dd. And, nope, she's able to play in 10u this spring. This will be her 2nd year in 10u and has proven to be an impressive hitter!

rtp,

If your daughter is as good as you advertise, then I am sure someone on this site of 6200 members will mention her. ?In my opinion I just don't take much of a parents' opinion of their own kid when they get on here and toot their own horn.
