Kilgore College freshman softball player Tori Tovar, of Richmond (TX), was chosen as the Region XIV Eastern Division Conference Player of the Week for the week of April 8-15.
Tovar's batting average was .500 with 10 hits (one double), seven runs scored and 4 RBI from her leadoff position playing center field.
She is batting .361 on the season with two home runs and 17 RBI with a .459 slugging percentage.
