One of my DD's was having same issue. I just had her bunt the first 5 pitches off the machine and then swing away. Seems that having her follow the ball to lay down a bunt helped her track the ball. Within a short time, maybe a couple weeks, she was tracking the ball good.

Worked with my DD since last week and seems to be paying dividends. She's making better contact with the ball and her confidence is up. Thanks.

I've seen it done with different color balls and they will call out what color to hit.
