We will be hosting two seperate one day only (Saturday) ASA Qualifiers in September. These will be great for teams that have players participating in Fall Leagues which are typically held on Sundays. It's also a great inexpensive way to get that first tournament of the year under your belt.

The dates will be as follows:

SEPT 12TH

14U & 16U

3 GG (all play will be completed on Saturday)
1 hour 30 minute time limits
2 ASA umpires per game
ASA "A" berth awarded per age group for 2010
COST: ONLY $250 per team
ONLY 8 TEAMS MAX PER AGE GROUP

SEPT 19TH

10U & 12U

3 GG (all play will be completed on Saturday)
1 hour 30 minute time limits
2 ASA umpires per game
ASA "A" berth awarded per age group for 2010
COST: ONLY $250 per team
ONLY 8 TEAMS MAX PER AGE GROUP

Registration forms can be downloaded at this link: http://www.leaguelineup.com/tournaments.asp?cmenuid=12&url=ohiowave&sid=585371493

Many teams will actually play 4 games with the format we will use. Be sure to sing up early because space is very limited. $100.00 deposits will hold the spot.

I passed the info on to the local ASA UIC (Terry) who coordinates all of the umpires for our events. You were great here last summer and we would welcome you back anytime.

How many teams do you have so far, and are there still any open spots?

We have a handful of teams in each age group so far. I will post the teams as soon as deposits start rolling in. many teams are just getting going and they have yet to collect players fees.

We look to have something like 6 teams in each age group going by the level of interest that we have seen so far.

At this time I only have firm commitments from 4 teams in the 16U and 2 teams in the 14U. If we do not have at least 6 teams in each then we will not run the tournament. I will give teams until Wed at 6:00pm to confirm.

After that I will post on here what we will do. Anyone who wants to jump in please let us know ASAP. You can contact me at 937-603-6136.

Thanks,

Rich

We are sorry to say that we will not be hosting the 14U and 16U Treaty City one day tournament this saturday 9-12-2009.

We only had a handful of teams committed in each age group, and a few that expressed interest but we decided that if those who were interested did not commit by 6:00pm today then we would not be able to out on the type of event that we expect to. For those teams who sent in deposits or full payment we will be sending those back ASAP.

REGARDING THE 9-19-2009 12U and 10U TREATY CITY ONE DAY QUALIFIER WE STILL INTEND TO RUN THAT AND WE WILL USE THIS SUNDAY 9-13-2009 AS THE DEADLINE FOR GETTING IN. WE WILL MAKE A SEPERATE THREAD ONLY FOR THAT TOURNAMENT LATER TODAY.

Rich,

What is the status of the 12U and what are the teams?

Just not enough interest to make this a decent ASA "A" Qualifier. We decided early on that we needed at least 4 to 6 teams in each age group and at this point we just don't have that.

Thanks to everyone for your interest but it looks like this was just a little too early.

See you all in October :)
