Aren't we like in week 3 or 4 of the season? How can teams be focused on getting the tryout information posted when there's still a ton of ball to be played?

The early bird doesn't get the worm on this one.

With all the rain-out free time we have had recently we thought we would take advantage and might as well get the info out there now before we get busy again the next 7 weeks.

I had a parent call last night looking for a fall league for a 10 yr. old. Anyone needing a player the rest of the summer let me know by PM and I'll share the family's name and number.

I think the sooner the info is out there the better. It helps people plan. People want to take vacations after the season, kids that play rec are making decisions about all-star teams, etc. The more we allow people to make informed decisions the better.

That said, get listed on the tryout board, post a thread with more detailed info and be done with it. No need to bump your 2015-16 tryout thread ever 2 hours 6 weeks out from tryouts. For that matter, there's no need to bump it 6 days from tryouts either!

Right over here!
It's almost July...With only 4 weeks till nationals start probably not a bad time to start posting. Especially if you want to plan on attending a few and they are in the same day..

Fair point. I guess it depends on how happy you are with your current team as well.

Any organization with downtime Please spare some minutes updating your webpages. If TDs or whomever are behind on posting results then an updated website or link would be great. It's great to see midseason progress of an organizations divisions.

As opposed to lots of posts/threads and the inevitable bumps so early in the process, just put the dates and info in the Tryout List at the top of this screen ...

I was thinking it might be nice if you could organize the "Teams needing players" section by age group, it may eliminate some of the bumping and clutter with the section. Maybe not be easy from the tech side of thing though I am not sure how that works.
