so was your experience with your daughter trying out for a new girl softball team good bad or ugly?

Mostly good for my DD.. Only one offer though.

Very good. Got a lot of offers where in the past we did not. Showed that she has grown as a player and that hard work does pay off.

As a brand new 9U going through softball tryouts for the first time, mostly good. DD got offers at 2/3 places she tried out. She really wanted the place she didn't get an offer - but laid an egg at tryouts - and at 9 it is going to happen. We still got 2 good offers and picked the one we felt was the best fit. The only ugly I saw, at the younger ages is a lot of who gets picked is all about who you know. If big sister is already in the organization - little sister (regardless of talent) is going to get picked over anyone new trying to step on.
