We haven't even started looking yet since dd is still rehabbing summer injury. So whatever happens, happens. Some 18U coach is going to get a good pitcher this fall though.

DD was at band camp, 1st private tryout is tonight. Here's hoping she can show them what she can do. She's a little nervous, first year not playing for Dad.

DD wants to play 18u again, but can't get an offer, so what if she is a Junior in college.....

The father/daughter relationship improves at this point! At least it did for me. (Dad needs to make sure he only imparts his fatherly wisdom when asked, though.)

I'm all out of wisdom, other than knowing she needs more than I can provide. Although last night as we were practicing I may have given her my finest words of wisdom, I told her do what the coach ask you to do and NEVER EVER respond with "that's not how my Dad said to do that". LOL

Well she made the team and her two best friends (twins) that have played together for the last 6 years made it also. They are a tough trio when playing together. They bat 1,2,3 and in the last two tournaments we played 12 games and scored 50 runs. They batted 106 times, scored 37 of the 50 runs and only struck out once and that was my daughter.

16U. Yeah I know would have been nice to have some other girls score. Kind of why we were looking for a new team and coach. FYI, I was the coach. HA HA Don't get me wrong the other girls were good also and they definitely held their own of defense. Just could never get all 9 girls hitting. And obviously the 4,5, and 6 batters helped or 1,2, and 3 wouldn't have scored that much.

I went through it with three daughters its not easy but it is best I just kept coaching got thirtyfive years in it now they seemed to end up ok and im still doing what I love
