Class on Wednesday Feb. 3rd still has some openings. Good chance for extra income. For anyone interested. We will be short umpires all around Ohio.

Does anyone know of the contact numbers for umpire classes in northern Ohio - west of Cleveland?

warrenjones@zoominternet.net philbob, that was the contact for our region. I talked to Warren at a basketball game and I'm not sure he is doing this now, but I'm sure he can put you in the right direction.

If you want to do high school games look on the OHSAA website. I think your local association would be in Elyria. If you want to do ASA then contact Warren Jones as was suggested by SBFamily.

KR,

Will you be one of the teachers or guys helping with this class?

After years of having some of my ASA buddies hammer me about working high school games (I'm a certified OHSAA baseball umpire and work a full slate of baseball games every spring) I've decided to "take the plunge" and get the high school softball certification.

I spoke with Mr. Warton yesterday and signed up for the class. I'm not sure how many actual high school games I'll be able to work, since I usually do 25-30 baseball games every year. But I'm going to try to squeeze a few in!

Three or four of the guys taking this class will be experienced baseball umpires I work with in Westerville youth leagues who want to get softball experience to help cover our local games. They will have a lot to learn- and a lot to "unlearn"!

Wow, if Bretman is going to be in this course the instructors will need to have their A games.
