KR,
Will you be one of the teachers or guys helping with this class?
After years of having some of my ASA buddies hammer me about working high school games (I'm a certified OHSAA baseball umpire and work a full slate of baseball games every spring) I've decided to "take the plunge" and get the high school softball certification.
I spoke with Mr. Warton yesterday and signed up for the class. I'm not sure how many actual high school games I'll be able to work, since I usually do 25-30 baseball games every year. But I'm going to try to squeeze a few in!
Three or four of the guys taking this class will be experienced baseball umpires I work with in Westerville youth leagues who want to get softball experience to help cover our local games. They will have a lot to learn- and a lot to "unlearn"!
