The game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning with Valley Sting coming to bat. The Lasers were winning however, 3-2. After a nearly one hr delay and alot of work on the field, the rains once again were going to take over. Mr. Deluca delared both teams co champions but our hats are off to the Lasers for the day that they had getting to the championship. What a great young team they have.

First off, let me start by congratulating the 9u Lasers for finishing co champions with Valley Sting. always a challenge playing the Valley Sting with both teams being evenly matched. Lasers were leading 3-2 in the 5th inning when the skies opened up and were unable to finish the game which could've gone either way. The Sting won the toss for the hardware and then, one of the classiest moves I've seen from a team in fastpitch, gave the 1st place trophies to the Lasers. The Valley Sting.....what a great bunch of coaches, parents, and players. Hats off to a class act!!!!!!

11-5 over Elyria
8-4 over Lasers 9U
17-1 over Tidalwaves
4-1 over Ohio Pride (great game)
and lose to the Sting 8-4 in the semi's
I think the Ice was 3-0 in pool play before losing a tough battle 1-0 to the Lasers. This tourney had some great teams with no problems from coaches or fans (like the 12's) It makes the weekend fun!!! Good luck to these teams the rest of the year.

First off, great weekend of 10u softball. Congrats to Valley Sting and Lasers Red!
On a personal note, I take my hat off to Valley Sting 10u. You're sportsmanship this weekend was out of this world!!!! The girls are great athletes and showed how professional they can be. I just read how you have up the hardware to the Lasers after you won the coin toss... damn-near brought tears to my eyes! Thank you for setting an example that all should aspire to!
