Well Umpie, we have got to be absolutely crazy!!! We travelled from Columbus up to Akron this morning in Level 2 snow emergencies just so our daughters can participate in the Akron Winter Team Camp. Yep, I was one of them.
Thanks to Coach Jones, Coach Thornberry, and the Akron Softball girls for putting this on. Nice job on reorginizing the schedule when we had some no-shows due to the weather.
What to report......
There was some good hitting, pitching, and fielding. There was some teambuilding. There were girls playing 9 on 9 indoor ball on a large field. There was lots of winter rust knocked off. Just what this camp is designed for.

Slammers are playing on Sunday. After going 5-1 at the fall showcase, should be interesting if teams dial it up a notch for them this time thru.

Sounds like a great start to the 2009 season.
The wife and dd are heading up for 12 hours of games today. Wish I didn't have to work! I'll post scores as I get them.
Another few weeks and we have to shut down travel season and give the dd's back to OHSAA for the annual 100 day travelball shutdown. My girls are looking forward to playing ball with there friends at school, and the wife and me are looking forward to getting back behind the plate calling games. It's a wonderfule time of year!
