Workhouse Fastpitch is pleased to announce that we are sponsoring a recruiting seminar at Pickerington Central HS from 5:00-7:00pm on Sunday, January 20th. Featured presenters will include Kelly Kovach Schoenly, Head Sofball Coach at The Ohio State University, Karen Linder, Head Softball Coach at Kent State University, Christine Steines, Head Softball Coach at Otterbein University, and Shannon St. Clair, Asst Coach at Ohio Dominican University. These coaches will be covering all aspects of the recruiting process.
We strongly encourage any athlete that is interested in playing softball at the Collegiate level, to take advantage of this unique opportunity here in Central Ohio, to become further educated about the process by which the recruitment of potential athletes happens.
Topics will include the guidelines by which coaches are governed, what attributes coaches are looking for, what you should include in skills vidoes and profiles, exposure avenues available, among others. We will allow time for a group Q&A.
We strongly encourage pre-registration as space will be limited. We will accept walk-ups, if we don't fill up prior to January 18th. Cost will be $30/athlete, which includes admission for 2 parents. If you have more than one child/athlete, cost will be $40 for 2, and $50 for 3 or more. Those are family multiple discounts only.
