I wanted to share an item that the USA Elite Select program is getting involved with this summer at the NPF championships in Tuscaloosa, AL. USA Elite Select is the elite division of USSSA Fast-Pitch. This was sent out by Jami Lobpries who is the Vice President of the USA Elite Select program with USSSA. If coaches have an athlete in the 2017-2022 graduating class they feel should be nominated, please forward on to my office at mike.craig2@usssa.com. Please serious inquiries only.
This August, the city of Tuscaloosa will play home to nearly 600 elite amateur fastpitch athletes as well as over 80 professional fastpitch athletes as two major events come to town.
USA Elite Select, the elite division of USSSA Fastpitch, has compiled a list of the nation?s top players in the 2017 to 2022 graduation classes as nominated by travel ball coaches, college coaches, and tournament directors from across the country. Players from this list will be invited to Tuscaloosa, AL from August 19-21[SUP]st[/SUP] to partake in the inaugural Select 30 All American Camp at Bowers Park. This camp will be held in conjunction with the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Championship Series in Tuscaloosa, Alabama which runs August 19-23[SUP]rd[/SUP] on the campus of the University of Alabama.
The Select 30 All American Camp is a three-day camp designed to showcase elite individual athletes from across the country and provide a platform for these athletes to compete for a spot on the All American Team. All players will go through two days of evaluations and training conducted by the All American Scouting Network and former college/professional players.
On Sunday, each graduation class will be narrowed down to the Select 30 athletes. Those 30 athletes will be divided into two teams and will play a full 7-inning game on Sunday morning. The final All American team will be announced on field at Rhoads Stadium prior to Game One of the NPF Championship Series.
All participating athletes will receive tickets to the NPF games and be seated in a designated area at Rhoads Stadium. This will allow these young players a chance to watch and interact with the professionals. Athletes will also get a taste of the media as interviews and media days will take place during the three days.
USA Elite Select was launched July, 2015 with a goal of enhancing elite fastpitch and bridging all levels of the fastpitch community. By hosting the Select 30 All American Camp during the NPF Championship Series, the top players from the professional and amateur level will commence in one location. We believe this is a huge step for exposing our young elite players to the opportunities that exist at the professional level and for exposing them to role models they have grown up idolizing. Top amateur players will have the unique opportunity of showcasing their skills in front of college coaches and NPF General Managers.
Top athletes are in the process of being nominated and invited. A full list of participating athletes will be announced at a later date.

We are excited to welcome players from across the country to Tuscaloosa for a truly great experience and look forward to providing more players with opportunities to compete and develop as young women.
