Thanks, I thought I was doing something wrong since I wasn't getting any commentary when I tried to watch the first game. It sure is different to watch the game without it.

You can choose to have it with or with-out commentary (at least some games). Select REWIND for no commentary and ENCORE for commentary. I started watching the first game on Rewind then switched to Encore for the commentary. Picture wasn't as good.

I believe I read they will finish the game against Canada after the game against Japan, which is scheduled for Friday at noon (tomorrow), but it's already tomorrow there...LOL

Still not a reason for them to pull softball out of the olympics. If anything it should make other countries work harder on their programs so they can be as dominant as the U.S.

USA vs. Canada = great game with Canada leading 1-0 untill late in the game. I won't post the final score as to not upset wgman21 but Team USA wins again:yahoo:

USA vs. Netherlands on MSNBC right now. Started at 7:30am. This should be an absolute blowout.

A pitching machine throwing 55 would be tougher to hit than these Netherlands pitchers. The game should be titled, "USA takes BP in China." If nothing else, it's a great advertisement for the DeMarini bats. Bustos and Mendoza both lined homers on pitches that weren't 8 inches off the ground. Why they're swinging at bad pitches early in the count against pitchers who couldn't possibly strike them out is another story. "Yes, but they hit those pitches out of the park," you say? True, but if they happen to run into a quality pitcher, they'll be tapping those same pitches to the mound or to the second baseman (see USA NO-HIT by Angela Tincher). I also think they spend a little too much time smiling and high-fiving after drubbing horrible teams. When you know that a bus crash is the only thing that can keep you from winning, you shouldn't be acting like you're the '69 Mets.

I think they're doing this for two reasons.

1. They're trying to stay positive and active about something they're getting very bored with. It's not exactly thrilling or exhilerating for them at the moment.

2. This is probably their final olympics.

I really hope some of you come to the clinic Oct.4 and 5 and I will make sure you get to ask her yourself how and why she does what she does as long as you pay to get in...and expect an honest answer. She has done this before and has not disappointed anyone to my knowledge.

It is indeed one thing to comment on a board and another when you get to look into their eyes when you ask a question...it is indeed cool when you have the opportunity to do this in person and please introduce yourself to me so I know who you are.
