A pitching machine throwing 55 would be tougher to hit than these Netherlands pitchers. The game should be titled, "USA takes BP in China." If nothing else, it's a great advertisement for the DeMarini bats. Bustos and Mendoza both lined homers on pitches that weren't 8 inches off the ground. Why they're swinging at bad pitches early in the count against pitchers who couldn't possibly strike them out is another story. "Yes, but they hit those pitches out of the park," you say? True, but if they happen to run into a quality pitcher, they'll be tapping those same pitches to the mound or to the second baseman (see USA NO-HIT by Angela Tincher). I also think they spend a little too much time smiling and high-fiving after drubbing horrible teams. When you know that a bus crash is the only thing that can keep you from winning, you shouldn't be acting like you're the '69 Mets.
