Mandy's been out for two weeks now. She should be ready for HAWKTOBERFEST and the Haunted Houses.

Congrats to the 14U Riptide, Misty & her coaching staff. It was a joy to play you guys in the Gold finals. My girls learned a lot in their first 14U tourney by watching your team perform & play hard.

Also congrats to my '97 team for playing hard & earning their 13U World Series berth. We have a lot of things to work on & it will be a fun journey!!!

Cincy Doom 96 won the 16U Gold Bracket. The girls went 4 - 0 on the weekend with wins over Static 95, Lady Charmers, Static 94 and Extreme Fastpitch.

Kavin, good work this weekend. I thought your girls bounced back well in the 14U finals. Your pitchers did a good job of keeping our hitters off balance in the championship game. I know my dd was frustrated seeing 3 out of 5 pitches to her as change-ups. She popped out to second. Take away the few fundamental errors and the game was closer than the score showed. Good luck this season!

Thanks. We loved the challenges we faced this weekend & are girls got a real understanding that the couple of mistakes you made at 12U hurt a lot more at 14U. Those are things we will continue to work on & button up over the next several months.

Congratulations to the Riptides and also the Static, somehow even though we won the Silver bracket, knowing that our only two losses in the tournament came from the two teams playing for the championship in the Gold Bracket made it a little more acceptable.. As a first year organization and first time playing 14U, we have alot to learn but I know the girls learned from their mistakes in the two losses and finished strong!! Did I mention that we are still looking for one more girl to complete our roster?? Again great job coaches and ladies class acts!!

Would like to thank Bob Owens on a very nice tournament as I do look forward to it again next year. I would also like to congratulate the Riptides on a very nice win, you have a wonderful team. Congrats to Cincy Static on a fine 2nd place showing, you have a nice team as well. I would like to thank every team that kicked the snot out of us, my girls now understand what they have to do to get to the next level and they are ready. We will be fine over the next few months and then maybe the games will be a little better. All I know is after a weekend like that and after the team meeting it was nice hearing the team say we need to practice more and become more serious. Goodluck to all in 2011.

Thanks Paul!! You guys are going to be great & the 7 new players you picked up for 2011 are very lucky to have you as a coach & mentor!! You heard exactly what you needed to hear from the girls which is they want to practice to get better & that's all you can ask for as a coach - the "want to."
