Valparaiso softball head coach Jordan Stevens and the Crusader softball program will be hosting a one-day fall softball camp on Sunday, September 16 from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The camp, open to athletes in grades 9-12, is a new and exciting style of camp designed to provide athletes a close-up look as to what a typical day in the life of a college athlete is like, with a focus on the softball aspects.
The camp will feature three training sessions designed to specifically work on hitting, pitching or defense, as well as one ?classroom? session where athletes can pick an area of interest to learn more about. Campers will also get a free t-shirt and free lunch, and will have the opportunity to play two games with and against other campers, officiated by certified umpires.
The cost of the camp is $130, and registration is limited to 60 total athletes on a first-come, first-served basis. It is also limited by position, and athletes must register by position. For more information or to register, visit www.valposoftballclinics.com, print out the attached PDF and mail it in along with payment, or contact the Valpo softball office at [COLOR=#49535A !important] 219-464-5047

Any idea if they would allow an 8th grader to attend, or, if they will be offering camps that would include 8th graders? Ideally, I would be interested in a pitching camp. Thanks!

The broucher stats for 2013, 2014, 2015, & 2016 grads only. I would say that 8th grade is out for the fall. Went to winter camp in Jan of 2012. Camp was ran very well. I would suggest going to winter camp this Jan.

You got lucky last Jan the weather was pretty nice as far as Valpo Goes. Winter of 2011 we out ran a blizzard home that dumped 26 inches
