Hawks and Fire hooked up again first thing this morning in a great game... final was 1-0 Hawks in 6 full innings of play... great plays on both side of the ball, the single run scored in the first inning. We love playing the Fire, what a solid team and great folks .. we play intense games and the kids and coaches all love it and respect each other...

For an ASA tourney we are playing a 4 person outfield - it cost us several nice gappers today ... not sure why the TD put that in .. it really is not needed.

4 outfielders........ huuuuuuhhhh?

the Windmill has been run by the Parks & Recreation dept in the past and it has been a psuedo-rec-allstar type tournament. We unknowingly played in one as 10s that allowed 4 outfielders but we only played with three. The other coach accused us of being cocky. We tried explain to him that we didn't want screw up their positioning and mess them up before nationals. He didn't buy it.

The Fire has outfielders that can catch the ball and we had 2 shots that they easily caught that might have been gappers with 3 outfielders ... it sure makes it tough to get an extra base hit .. you can't split the outfield unless they are napping... Great facility there, loved everything about it except that.
