Vikings Open Season this weekend

CSU opens up this weekend heading Greenville to participate in ECU invitational. First game is Friday at 10am. Chceck out csuvikings.com to view the game on gamtracker. lets hope Nicholson and her staff have the team prepared this season.

DDs team played them during fallball, they have solid infield.

Hopefully they are solid with Toman leading the infield. Shields should dominate the pitching but theres question marks every where with the freshman and injured players returning. They lost alot of talent these past 3 years from graduation and transfers.

The Ohio University Bobcats will also be at the ECU Invitational to start the season. I will be heading down to Greenville, NC Thursday afternoon...Hope it's sunny & 70*

I don't know about dominating pitching. Like I said their infield is solid and several good hitters in their lineup.

Tough start for CSU at Greenville but one bad inning in every game hurt them. On the bright side, they are starting four freshmen and had good chances to win games there. I think they will grow from the experience and improve a lot over the season if they can stay healthy. They already were dealing with injuries at Greenville, down one outfielder and a pitcher.

Vikings win two games yesterday in the dome. Good pitching and much better D than in the opening weekend. Also had some nice extra base hits, including a couple of would be HRs that fell victim to the dome roof and landed just short of the fence. They play Bucknell again today and follow with St Bonaventure..
