"All out of love", by Air Supply.
"Mandy" by Barry Manilow.
"Feelings" by Morris Albert.

If you play these three songs in a set, the fans, opposing team and umpires will all be asleep!

How about the sound of gloves popping or the sound of hitting soft toss.

I
hate
warm-up
music

Focus on the task at hand - (now get off my grass......)

Seems like the girls stay loose when they got some music. What I am seeing more this season is playing music in the dugout every half inning! Think that is distracting.

If we did music, id have to pick it, and wed listen to a whole Metallica cd. Probably why we dont do it.

My thoughts are kinda like Hitter23's. If we, the "grownups", like it - the girls will hate it. And vice-versa.

Doesnt matter what the "grown ups" like. The girls are the ones that get pumped up by it. Seems a lot on here are 12u people though so could see why you might pick it for them. At 16u, we have to make sure they are the "clean" version though. I'm all for the Metallica music...but like you all said...prob not so popular with the girls :)

My DD is a big fan of music. As college coaches are getting younger, I have noticed more of them play music at their pre game warm ups, and camps. The DD's coach let the girls play music in warm ups and through parts of practice last year. It was a big success. Now if I could just get the DD listening to some Rob Zombie...

Our girls love "Turn Down For What" Dj Snake and Little Jon - (Plus It irritates the heck out of them that I like it too)
and "Fancy" by Izzy sombody is a big favorite

I tried getting some "Classics" in the mix but the girls tend to skip the track -

The music does help them want to stretch and work out - these are still pre-teen girls after all

I guess I'm lucky that my 12 yo DD loves Ozzy and some Five Finger Death Punch to go with some Turn Down for What :)

All kidding aside - I believe there are current rules against warm up or dugout music. If another team, coach or umpire raises a concern the team or players must turn the music off.

Brettman can probably answer this more specifically. But we played in an event in Ohio last year and it was enforced.

But if I could pick it I would go to the wayback machine - Styx, Rush, BOC, Montrose, UFO, 1st KISS album - have I lost you all yet?

My kid's other favorite is Die by Dope. That one falls under the "only in the car" category. She likes all kinds of music, but when headed into battle, she prefers very aggressive music. Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, System of a Down, Mudvayne, etc. You would never know it to talk to her, but the wild hair colors might give it away...lol.

My 20 year old loves Rush, so you are not as far gone as you think!
