In your original post "maddogmom" you didnt say it was the type of music that bothered you, but music in general. I agree about the rap music BUT that is only because I hate it no matter where its being played. If its being played in a controlled situation then no biggie right? If my DD team was playing a game and the team next to us was warming up with loud music, as long as it WASNT rap (ever wonder why the word "crap" has the word "rap" in it?) I honestly wouldn't give a damn. At this age (16U) they would probably enjoy it as well. What age group are you referring to? By the way you might wanna watch who you go pickin an argument with..... may not be worth the skin off your a**. Im not meaning me either!

Not only have I been, Ive played. I also ran track. But what you are talking about is CONTROLLED. There are rules for this also. Have you ever been to a college or MLB game where there is someone in a dugout or walking in the STADIUM or park with trash rap music playing while coaches are trying to talk or teach or players trying to concentrate DURING A GAME! ( NO YOU HAVENT ) Its apples to oranges and like most of the posts on here you make no sense at all. Now I see why the poor behavior is happening ..its clear that the majority of parents and coaches think its ok. Well I do not! And to compare what goes on as far as music being played in a controlled, structured environment to what happens at these parks is a joke! GET REAL![/


Music is part of the game at all levels, deal with it. You say its controlled, have you listened to some of the lyrics at the college games.(obviously YOU HAVE NOT)
I agree that play list should be edited, but that's not what your original post stated. The majority of the parents and coaches don't worry about what another team is doing with their team. Its not something they can control. I have told players to control what they can control, on and off the field. Another team playing music is not in their control, or yours.
