I would like to congratulate Ohio Wave ( Rosinski ) 14u on their 2nd place finish at the world series in Myrtle Beach. You guys have played tough all year and the girls hard work has paid off. Nice job by all of you and way to bring back some hardware to Ohio. Very nice accomplishment - congrats.

Moore Family,

Thanks, and we had a great time down in Myrtle Beach. It was our first time playing WFC and this was their "A" World Series. Heading down there and we didn't really know what to expect but we quickly found out as we faced some excellent teams down there. It was hot (mid 90's all week) and it did not rain except for an hour or so on thursday nite.

We went 3-0 in pool play and earned the 2nd seed. The first seed allowed one run less then we did. Then we won our first two tournament games and lost a tough one in the winners bracket semi-final. Came back on Saturday morning knowing that we had to win five straight to win it all and we got off to a great start. Wining the first two games put us back in the Finals of the losers bracket to face the team that put us down there the night before. We knocked them out 9-3 and moved on to the Championship game vs. The Tampa Heat Wave. This was an excellent team that had size speed and power. After 4 scoreless innings we broke throw and scored a run to take a 1 - 0 lead going into the bottom of the 5th. Then in the top of the 6th they broke thru and scored 2 runs. We had our chances in the final two at bats but could not push the tieing run across. The final was 2-1 and it was a great Championship game.

The team played well all week long and after a long season that is all that you can ask for. Now we are looking forward to next season. :)

loncor we appreciate that. It was a great week and the players gave us everything that they had. Can't ask for much more then that. I've never had more fun then we did this season. It was a joy watching these players grow.

See you soon.

Hey just wanted to say congrats from the Heath Crush 12U. We played in the B World Series this year in Georgia and also cam back with a 2nd. Although ours was only B I know the feeling of going down there and playing good enough to place. I am glad to hear a team from up north did very well there. It was a truly great experience for our girls so I know your girls must have felt some of the same things. Congratulations again, and maybe we will see each other next season.

Coach Ke,

I did not get to see many of the 12U games but I do know that our 12U coach said that they saw at least three pitchers there that were better then any they had seen all season. I can also say that most of the 10U teams there looked more like 12U teams. Not sure how they grow them so big down south but they surprised me. I know of at least one 10U player that hit a HR out over the 200 foot fence that was 8 feet tall. That was a shot in any age group but at 10U it was awesome.

The competition was better then we had expected overall in each of those three age groups. I cannot vouch for the 16U or 18U because they played in another location.

anyway, congrats on your finish there.

World Fastpitch Connection. http://www.playwfc.org/

Our 16u (Vikings Elite) won the WFC B world series this year, down in Savannah.

According to one of the coaches from GA that I talked to, the WFC is 2nd to ASA down in that area of the world.

Uber_Jones I will have to say that we were happy with the overall level of play in this event. It was the fiirst time that we had ever played in a WFC tournament and really did not know what to expect. We choose to go there because it was somewhere that our 10U / 12U / and 14U could all play together. We had a few families spread across those teams and it helped make it easier for them.

In talking with the coaches there that had played WFC in the past they said thia this years competition was better then last years. I can clearly say that we saw two or three of the best pitchers that we had seen this season. The hitting and team speed was well above average. Also, I am not sure that there was one run rule in the tournament in the 14U age group.

We will not go back next year because we are going in a different direction, but I would recommened it as a site worth considering for others. Anyone can feel free to contact me if you need more information.

Congrats to the Vikings Elite as well.

As a parent of one of this year's Ohio Wave 14U Rosinski players, I must say that this team is a pleasure to watch!! Rich and Erin do an excellent job of getting these girls ready to play top level softball and the girls all respond in kind!!! This team is truly special to me and to my daughter!! We look forward to the years left on this team and can't wait to see what success lies around the corner!!

sportsgal 99, and PC SOFTBALL we can assure you that the pleasure was all ours. These players did everything that we asked of them and more, and it was fun to watch them compete.

As we look towards next season it will be difficult to see the players that have to move up leave our team but I am hopeful that we helped prepare them for the next level as best we could. We look forward to finding a few special athletes who love the game of fastpitch softball, and who are willing to commit to their preperation as much as this years players did. We will make another run at 14U next season, and play up a little as well. With the same level of support that we recieved from the families this season the sky is the limit.

Thanks for allowing us the oppertunity to coach your daughters and be part of your families for the season.
