Pitching and Pitchers Discussion What are pitchers using for chest protection?

I remember reading something on here about a really nice chest protector that was recommended by several OFC'rs for pitchers. My daughter has used the Heart Guard for years but she complains every time she puts it on. I thought maybe I would buy her a better one for this year.

1. Evo Sheild
2. Zoom Bang
3. Hex Pad

My DD used the Hex Pad jersey for a few years until we found Evo Shield. This seems to provide the best protection but, was not as comfortable as the Hex Pad or Zoom Bang jerseys.

My DD has wore the EvoShield for 2 years on the mound and loves it. Not restricting and has never complained about it being uncomfortable. We did not put in the side shields though, only the chest shield.

Great, thanks all. The Evo shield was what I remembered seeing good praises on here.

ETA: How do the younger girls do with the Evo Shield as they get older and "grow"? Are you replacing them every year? Small price to pay for safety. Do the girls just say when it is getting tight on them and uncomfortable?

The company has great customer service. We just called them and told them that the chest shield had become to tight on our daughter and they sent us a new "chest insert". $25 I think. My daughter is 16 yrs. old now and has wore the Evoshield for 3 yrs. She also likes that you cannot tell that she is even wearing a chest protector.

My DD wears the McDavid Hex pad shirt in 10U. Very flexible and didn't seem to get in the way. My older boy wears the McDavid Football girdle and loves it, thats why we tried the Hex Pad, DD didn't complain at all.
