If one my kids wanted to play soccer over softball, I would look into a trade with another family. There has too be a kid out there that has the same feeling in a soccer family. It would be like wife swap but only with the kids. Each season you could get the sport that you wanted to watch.
Or, you could let her choose knowing she has plenty of years to get bored with running around on a field where she only gets to touch the ball with her feet. Either way I hope this helps...

I had the same situation 3 years ago with DD. I know every kid is different, but, she played rec ball and hated it. in two years her team won one game. No one really there to play, just kinda social hour (or social 3 hours). We got a call for a coach from a travel team and asked if my DD wanted to try out, they needed another player for the year. She really didn't want to, but we did, and is she glad. This is her 3rd year of travel and loves it. I can't say it would turn out the same, and it's a lot of $ to spend just to see, but it did work out for us.
