What organizations, primarily in SW Ohio, have a Fall Showcase team that does not want a commitment

Just curious, and do not feel like reading through all the postings. Any of the organizations offering tryouts WITHOUT wanting kids for their Summer teams?

Strictly Fall showcase tournament teams? Anyone.

Thanks.

I think that the the true showcase player understands there is more to attending showcase TOURNAMENTS than just playing a event. These showcase tournaments are not round robins or run of the mill fall events with a college team for a scrimmage.

College coaches need to know who you are and where you are playing. Just showing up and saying "I am here look at me" will not get you any serious looks.

The Cincy Static uses the fall and fall showcases to help get prepared for the summer and get our players ready for the summer season exposure.

Since some of these fall events are ASA qualifying events with roster issues insurance etc I would think most true 16/18 showcase teams would rather have their summer players with a few exceptions to avoid especially the roster issues or having a sub player ineligible for their summer at team nationals (if you want to play by the book).

Some teams do pick up to field Fall teams but, if you are talking college showcase or qualifying events I think you should use your summer players to avoid issues in the summer.

The Ohio Hawks fall exposure team is a 6-8 week fall season comprising of exposure tournaments and round robins with various colleges with the idea of getting in front of college coaches. We do not require you to come on as a full time Hawks player in order to participate.

Our Summer team consists of 8 girls from the same school district. The girls are all friends and still enjoy the summer team experience they have with their friends from school. I cannot tell my daughters that we are no longer playing with their friends.

Fall ball for us has to consist of a team that will take on girls from other teams to help fill out a roster. That is why the question was asked. We are looking to have the opportunity to try out for a team that doesn't require a year long commitment.

If you do not plan on summer showcase events it will limit any of your players exposure to perspective colleges.

All of the colleges interested in my players do like to know a little about the player and their fall/summer schedule and that is where building a player profile comes in handy and the player established with a team.

You will get more bang for you buck if you do not plan on doing summer showcases with just going to college recruiting events like Queen of Diamonds etc or having your players attend a college recruiting camp they are interested in. However, on the application they too usually want to know about the player and the team they are on commitment level etc.

Good luck in your search, there are teams out there you can hook up with for some fall ball.

Sam look at the Miami county blaze fall showcase team I don’t think they require there players to play for them next year and they draw some very good talent from this area. They know what they are doing they have been doing a fall showcase team for a few years now. They also practice somewhat close and there schedule will be a showcase schedule for sure and be a very competitive team. This year in showcases it does help to get yourself out there to college coaches but jess has got some serious looks from some colleges without them knowing her. You need to at least make up a profile for at the tournaments so colleges can grab one to see who they are watching. Are team just sat profiles in an envelope next to the dugout so any coach could pull out any profile from the team.

Our experience with fall a fall showcase team was that they did not attend any qualifiers. Their games were all either a double header against a college team looking for scrimmages, a fall tournament that included college teams, or some type of round robin thing involving two or three teams.

There were two reasons for this team's existence:

1. Exposure to college coaches
2. Experience playing against college teams

College showcases in the Fall using it as a "qualifer" in my mind is a mistake.
