Sounds to me your DD's coach is lying to her so their DD gets more playing time at the position. Did she win more games then your DD? You can"t control what the coaches do with the kids, for some reason they think their kid is the only one that wants to pitch in high school not the other 1 or 2 pitchers on the team. Sometime coaches lie to fullfil there objective.
