It would have to be based on what have you had her do so far in the game. If she has bunted every time up the D is sitting on the bunt, no good there. Can she slap, hit for power, etc.. Need a bit more info to be able to answer.

Not near enough information....and there is probably no way to post all the variables necessary in order to make an informed suggestion.

Is the defense set up to defend the bunt? Is the pitcher dominating your team? Is the pitcher starting to get wild? Is the pitcher gassed? Have they changed pitchers? Can #8 batter hit? Has the other team subbed in different players at the corners? Is the catcher tired? Is the field fast or slow? Who's on your bench? Is the other team back on their heels? Is it raining? The questions could go on and on......

A good coach will consider all of the variables he or she possibly can, and tell the #8 hitter what to do that gives that batter the best chance to get on base. But in all honesty, even the best coaches are going to make the correct call 30% to 45% of the time. This game is set up for defense......

When both corners are way up when showing bunt, we have at times successfully pushed the ball past the charging fielders.

I got a little bunter that has gotten on base half the year blooping it behind third. It drops in no mans land and safe, a push or slap would work good. Or get out and hope your d holds so yeu can start with 9,1,2 next inning being home team. It ****s but is part of the game.

Thanks for all the input...Just trying to figure out the coach's thinking process.I 'm still looking for that!!!It seems the girls can do so much more but haven't been given the opportuninty to display some of there talent. It's half way through the season the staff should know by now what it takes to win games!!!!!!Thanks again.

Tell her to get a hit. Then tell her to touch all the bases when the next girl hits a homer to tie it.
