The answer is give it back, if your answer is any different than that, you should be coaching in the California Penal League, and not be any where near children.

Give it back before the game. Be honest with the coach & tell him that you saw what it was, but that once you realized what it was you immediately folded & returned it. Tell the coach that you saw a couple plays but are not making any mental notes & could care less about writing them down. The kids have to play the game. Chances are, he has several sets of #'s & he can switch to another set. Then use this situation as a teaching opportunity for your kids to learn about security of their information and also about ethics & the reputation of good sportsmanship that you require out of them. If you expect it from them, you must live it.

This is totally different from trying to pick off signs. There are things coaches can do to train players to keep signs protected and that is part of the game.
This is not part of the game.

It is a dumb question in that if you even have to ask yourself you are morally flawed. Try teaching youth sports participants the right way to play the game and maybe touch on some sportsmanship along the way.

Dumbest thread ever. Do you come up with these stupid scenarios on your own or are they really life experiences? What could you possibly be teaching your team by letting them know you have the opponent's signs and you're going to utilize the knowledge?

Please stay away from any and all girls. Freak.

I got the idea from watching you give hip thrust lessons.

AG would tell them how wrong they are using it. That they should do it his way. And he would never show them how his way would work better.

Yes, I would tell them that and I will tell them how wrong hip thrusts are.

Is it ok to send a scout out to watch an opponent and have that person try to pick signs for the future matchup? That happens quite often. Thoughts?

Awful lot of saints in this thread . I thought sign stealing was an accepted part of the game ? I always enjoyed it , usually quite easy . But yes if a coaches wrist band fell into my hands id give it back .

personally I could care less if you steal my signs... you still have to execute the play. Try to beat us! I might give the paper back or just throw it in the trash but I would not try to guess the signs. play the game... execute the play.
