Wheeling Jesuit Summer Softball Camp

The Wheeling Jesuit University softball team and coaching staff will be hosting a summer softball camp for athletes entering grades 4 thru 12. The camp will be August 2nd thru August 6th from 9am to 12pm on the WJU campus. The camp will include instruction for pitching, catching, hitting, defense, and performance training. All players will work in age appropriate groups. The cost for the camp is $25 per day or $100 for the entire week. You can print a registration form at www.wju.edu/athletics/softball. Here is the list of instructors for our camp:

Bill Vasko is in his 3rd year as the head coach of the Wheeling Jesuit softball program. He has coached softball for 7 years, college baseball for 7 years, and college football for 7 years. He also has 18 years of strength & conditioning experience.

Emily McComb is a graduate of Marietta College where she played first base . At Wheeling Jesuit, Emily will be responsible for hitting and infield instruction.

Melisa Shock is a graduate of Wittenberg University where she was a pitcher and a co-captain. At Wheeling Jesuit, Melisa will be responsible for pitching and catching instruction.

Laura Cymmerman pitched at the division one level for the University of Pittsburgh. She has been an assistant coach at division one Campbell University and a head coach at division one St. Francis and division two Seton Hill.

Heather Hoyt is a local pitching coach in the Wheeling area. She was a also a pitcher for Wheeling Jesuit during the 2010 season.

Great camp Have really enjoyed it the last two years. Looking forward to it this year. Have worked with Emily before on hitting. She will add to an already excellent camp. Can't wait.
