Where are all the 9u (2006) coaches???

Two of the four organizations we are looking into are looking for coaches at the 9u age group. Since most of the tryouts are 8/8 and 8/9 should we cross off those who don't have coaches and look elsewhere or go to a tryout and hope they find a coach. Opinions appreciated!

I think they don't realize it's tryout season or most are new to travel. I wouldn't commit to a team without a coach. JMHO, but especially at such a young age, as a parent you have to make sure your player's personality will "gel" with the coach's. Good luck!

The coaches will be drafted when they bring their daughters to tryouts--they just don't know it yet!

Most new coaches don't have a TB track record and aren't known outside their immediate area/group. It's very difficult to get an accurate read on them at a tryout.

Are there any orgs whose past involvement with these young teams (i.e. selecting/recruiting good coaches, ongoing support) would override the lack of info on a coach?

Central Ohio Lady Vipers have a 9u coach. His name is Toby Fischer. He is an assistant principal at Franklin Heights High School. He has been around kids all his working life. We also have an indoor hitting facility in Canal Winchester to work during the winter months. Tryouts are August 8th and 9th, but we are also open to private tryouts. Come join an exciting and motivated group.

The FAST Wizards of Northwest Ohio will have two 9u teams in 2015-16: Wizards Fire coached by Chad Meyers and Wizards Nemesis coached by Allan Abel.
There are also three 10u teams: Wizards Platinum (the Wizards Elite 10u team for 2015-16) coached by Amy Ritter and Ryan Yackee, Wizards Gold coached by Audra and Matt Van Brandt, and Wizards Young Guns coached by Jeremy Henegar.
