Top 3 as a spectator
1) Summer of '72 - opener Humble Pie, followed by Uriah Heep and finally Led Zeppelin
2) J. Giels, Black Oak Arkansas plus some other bands at Legend Valley - Giels was awesome and is better live than on vinyl
3) George Thorogood - ole Stanley Theater - rocked till 2 in the morning

Top 3 as a stage hand in the 80's
1) U2 "Joshua Tree" - was up on the light truss above the stage running a spot lite on Bono the whole show
2) Pink Floyd at ole Three Rivers Stadium
3) Neil Diamond - not a Diamond fan but he really puts on a great show

I would have loved to have seen AC/DC or Skynyrd.

Coosenone - you have done the impossible, having Charo and Pee Wee Herman on a list together ... who woulda thunk they have anything in common??? :-X :p

When I saw Pink Floyd, Thfirst was at richfield colosieun. great indoor show. the second was at clevland stadium before they tore it down. My first concert was AC/DC back in black @ the Cow palace in San Francisco. Went to many concerts there. One I remember was Ted Nugent. Gamma opened and they were featuring Ronnie Montros, then Humble Pie was next And Ted Closed the Show. The Def Leppard show was in Cincinnati and Tesla opened. this show was in the round And right after the Drummer lost his arm. Def Leppard is the only band to come close to a show as good as Pink Floyd

I saw pink floyd at the coloseum also. What I can remember of it was awsome. Flying pigs and such.

I have seen a lot of shows over the years everybody from Areosmith to Patty Loveless, but the two that stand out in my mind as the ones I enjoyed the most is the Pretenders in 1980, Chrissie Hynde (not sure how she spells her last name) what she did on stage, well lets just say it was interesting.

The other one is Martina Mcbride, I am not a big country music guy, went because my wife dragged me! but I got to admit her voice is unreal live, the radio doesn't do her justice. when she hit those high notes I thought the building was going to fall, I have been a fan of hers ever since.

The group that I would love to see live is Korn, impressed by the video clips that I have seen

Heres a quick trip down memory lane(if I can remember--kinda a blur)

1. Van Halen- better show with David(1st concert- Wow)) but better music with Sammy
2. AC^DC- 3 times and all were great
3. Phil Collins (in the round at the Nuthouse)
4. Kiss - every time I see them I leave going that was awesome
5. Elton John by himself with piano only-Nuthouse

And you make the call--was 15 and go to Ted Nuggent for your 1st concert or go to the State baseball tourney in Youngstown ? Yep I went tot the state baseball tourney(16-18) and still havent seen Ted but I did learn how to stock your bathtub with 12 oz suds... where did all the time go ?

Dr Junk had to lose some brain cells with the list he put together, flying pigs - people really seen them fly, wasn't kool-aid the choice beverage of the 70's

Ted Nugent would certainatly be worth the price of admission, Stranglehold was the national antheim in my area.

Went to the Fleetwood Mac reunited tour and would have to agree with nolefan, the show had a living legend atmosphere but had to be great when they were pioneering.

Molly, Ted, Van Halen, AC/DC, Neal Young, Skynard, Hank Jr on Fri and Sat nite, wake up to Sunday morning Bluegrass in the back off my 4 wheel drive, country boy will survive! We all better hope that the kids that we push discipline, proper field conduct and behavior on, don't read this thread.
