Why does the entry fee keep going up?

I just stated that I could have saved 70.00$ by booking myself in stead of the pay to play option

Pay and play is not anyone's friend. Well except the kickback you get when you mandate it! It really sucks when you see what hotels cost which are not on the list.. And not the pay by the hour ones either! When you go to a stay and play event do not ever search Trivago, you wont want to know.

As for STP....I have verified numerous times the TD CANNOT keep your team from playing or charge you more money. I have played in numerous STP previous 5 years, and if I even bothered to stay at one of their hotels like stupid Jim said I went through separate website for a lot cheaper so please people at least quit buying in to this STP

Please to not make this another Stay to Play thread. LOL Please pick another Tournament if it bothers you. Aunt Rosie's is not a STP Tournament. BUT Our Hotel Coordinator does a incredible job working with our Teams and local hotels. If you go to our website you will see she has already started loading hotels into our website for next year. Lots of choices already. 2/3rds of the out of town Teams book with her. Its about choices with us. What I don't like about STP is when you are not given choices of Star quality and prices. A lot of Coaches/Team Mangers do like a hotel service attached to a Tournament. Its one less thing to worry about.

As far as Tournaments that offers College Coaches and ones that don't. I have mixed emotions on what type of Tournament Aunt Rosie's should be or what our goal is? We have College Coaches at our 16U Tournament, over 30 last year, but at our 18U that number is declining fast with the importance of 18U. That's why I keep promoting Memories for these girls! At first year 18U, go to some new Destinations! If a Tournament doesn't have College Coaches it doesn't mean its not a good Tournament for your Team. Parents/Coaches care more about College Coaches, the girls care more about Zip Lining, Kayaking, Roller Coasters, Beaches, Boat Tours!
We can't make everybody happy or be all things to all people. At the end of the day I think our main goal is just to have as many people happy as possible!

Dave I would have to agree with you on the hotel situation. Having a tourney helping you find a choice of rooms at reduced fees for teams utilizing it with "x" number of players required is a great value option.
Stay to play on the other hand..... lol
