i'd love to add that this might be happening already in little towns where there is one school and the youth program is good..i'm thinking in the Lakewood and Sheridan area, alot of those girls dont play travel, they play in their youth league and dont stray far from that area. maybe i'm wrong, but i've spoken to some parents from that area, and they just dont, but they have outstanding varsity teams..or better than average at least.
doesn't Lancaster kind of do this already with their summer league?
I think the majority of good orgs use the lesser known teams as their feeder programs. Girls get their brains bashed in, loves the approach of the opposing team and come for tryouts, or they meet coach in parking lot
quaker, i wonder if an independent house could do this well, without the influences of travel orgs all fighting for one girl..of course, this probably wont ever happen
i do like corporate sponsors, thats the way the men played, it would seem to work for the girls to eliminate the need for all the parents with funds to only stay in one area or org
