Wilmington opens 16u elite and 16u and 14u rec.

I have been told four tourneys have went down and I am opening it up for the 16u elite looking for a place to play. ?Go to NSA Tournament section for details for the elite tournament and to the "Other Tournament" section for the rec.

As well as 16u rec and 14u rec.

Looking for 16 elite and 16 rec. Deadline is 7pm on Tuesday. If the ASA State holds on to the 16u teams until Wednesday... like it seems to be happening.... I am sorry. You know I want you here in Wilmington where we make it the best effort to play softball . Some TD won't take 4 teams and roll... and this hurts me for the girls. Then they are stuck... and no where to play ball.

I just hope teams remember those TD's who really don't care if the money isn't there.... you won't find that here.

Teams have to make their own decisions and no I cannot hold you a spot until Wednesday when I have 40 other teams waiting on a game schedule. I wish I could for you. This is why I always leave my tournaments open until Tuesday at 7 pm prior to the tournament weekend. That way if a team gets rained out the weekend before or cheated out of playing because a tournament folded.... they know they can call the Quakerman and get in. And that is a fact.

I do hope the teams remember the TD's who won't roll with four teams..... It's all about the girls playing ball. Some TD's forget about that for some reason (MOney thoughts fill their head)... I'd rather play and have coaches happy thinking... "That Quakerman, he sure does play with whatever he got..."

And I do. You want to play ball... we can play it in Wilmington.

Now, I have to go find a helicopter service. Just in case it rains hard on Saturday afternoon from afternoon heating. With the National Weather Service across the field from the Park.... it gives me immediate information.

And yes, helicopter drying of the fields IS cheaper than diamond dry.

Lady Charmers are in and Valley is thinking about it. How about you idle 16u teams ? Come play these two. The rest are in Columbus and it is closed off. These two had no where to play as their tournaments was cancelled. Give me four and it is a go. Give me three and if they want to play it .... is a go as well....lol... At least the girls got a place to play.

Helicopter service is on standby for Saturday afternoon. Two of them. These guys make a living from drying out football fields...lol.... said they never done baseball fields....lol... well they are now.... I told you it was cheaper than diamond dry....lol.... much cheaper....

with gas prices, it (helicopter service) is probably cheaper than setting the fields a blaze to dry them too. That is how we did it in the old days.

We did as well...lol....

Figure diamond dry at 12 per bag and 25 bags per field for seven fields.

300 per field and 7 fields equals 2100 dollars....lol... Copter service is a lot less. Read about us in the funny page come MOnday on the OFC in our tournament thread. I'm sure someone will have something to say about that crazy man in Wilmington who runs tournaments....lol

The helicopters are are under contract. As soon as the National Weather service says the storms are done... here come the copters.....lol... We play ball in Wilmington. NO matter what it takes to make it happen. Sunday is suppose to be beautiful... God I hope so.... lol...

Never seen a field dried that way lol, hopefully I want have to any time soon either ;D
