Winning Streaks

As a Houston fan, this will be somewhat off-topic but I'll wrangle it back to softball...
the Rockets are currently on a 22-game winning streak! Many have said it was due from the lack of competition to the favorable schedule to playing elite teams without their injured stars...whatever!

anyway, i'd like to take the thread to softball by talking about winning streaks by your respective school/travel teams OR slightly off-topic by talking about how meaningful winning streaks are/are not...do we really care? do we dare mention, "our school has won 10 straight!" only to lose the next game by a run rule?

do travel/school coaches hold their breath when a winning streak occurs? or was it a hot streak from one pitcher or team during a great weekend at a com puware/stingray type tournament that provided a brief but memorable winning streak

If winning streaks bring one thing its...........CONFIDENCE. This will pull you through when the team your playing has come back and tied it up in the last inning. Its a swagger the girls have going into a game after maybe beating a team in bracket play that they are about to play in elimination rounds. Get a quick start in the second game, after you have already beat them the day before and watch the opposing teams heads drop. Watch your girls confidence go through the roof. Softball, with closely matched teams, is usually a game of momentum.
