Went to the camp today.

Coach larabee was a good speaker and motivator. His girls did a good job running the stations.

He keep it going, good information. Had a good pace to the camp.


12 stations I believe. Different drill at each one.

Girls will learn the fundamentals of a top notch swing.

Taking my DD and her cousin to tomorrows camp. Heading out around 6:00 am, so I hope the weather holds off.

We'll be attending tomorrow's camp also. The weather isn't supposed to be too bad tomorrow from what I've heard. Low to mid 40's and partly cloudy.

The hitting portion tomorrow is from 8:30 until noon.

Gerry, I'm glad to hear such good reviews of this Clinic. Cincy Fury 16U has 4-5 girls going February 21, and I have high hopes that it will be very beneficial to us.

You go to this clinic, video it or take notes, add the rvp instructional tape to it. The tape has 8-10 drills and the camp does some of them.

Been to many pitching camps Gillis and Hillhouse. Jay and his staff did a top notch job. They had many stations teaching different pitches. First camp they handed out a work sheet, had you pitching speeds posted and your spin speed. Then filmed and you are given what you needed to work on. Interesting to hear a Divn 1 coach talk on spin rotation more important than speed. They used the cut off at 20.

Great camp, Lefty slapper camp was fantastic. I would highly recommend both the hitting and slapper camps. Money well spent.

What a great camp! I thought that Coach Larabee and his staff as well as the players did a great job! Very consistent instruction throughout the whole experience. I really thought the video of the swing then replaying it slide by slide, breaking down the mechanics of the swing were great--very useful information.
We will definitely be back next year!
As a bonus, I got the opportunity to meet some other OFC'ers! It was great to meet and talk with SB family and his DD, and meet Lady Knights too!

WOW, what an awesome camp! What's really great is the camp ran nearly an hour over the alloted time, and Coach Larabee didn't mind a bit.. he didn't rush ANYTHING to just get it done. Every coach and WSU player there took great time and effort to make every player feel like they were getting individual training, which they were. My DD and I went straight to a batting cage near home to work on things. She put he stuff into place right away, and is now smashing liners instead of hard grounders.

Why pay a hitting coach thousands when you can put the Carrier methods to work literally THAT day? haha. We'll be back next chance we get for a refresher.

Only bummer is they didn't push any instructional tapes/DVDs to buy, so I walked away without my own training video. haha. GREAT CAMP!

You should have asked, they would have let you record whatever you wanted to.

CShilt... Ahhh, NOW I know. haha. I just assumed they wouldn't appreciate it since most camps have disclaimers forbidding it. Next time, I suppose. In the meantime, I'm gonna order the Right View Pro stuff online.
