My daughter has the usual indoor team practices and a specific time when we go and work on just hitting but each Tuesday we go and do a general practice, just her and I and usually one of her friends. Taking a friend that is a good player makes it way more fun for her. Both do well in doing what I ask, listen when I'm explaining things in my boring way.

So.... I arrive early and have a dedicated tee area for about 20 minutes then an hour in a wide tunnel. Here is what I do. Post what you would do so I can get additional idea.

Tee Work - Any modifications or corrections get done here. Between the two switching back and forth we do two large buckets each. Mechanics, zone swings, etc.

Move to the tunnel
Live pitching (me) - with instruction only coming if I can't stand it. I do use my cue words and phrases as needed but I try to cut back on those. I do stop occasionally and ask why did did or didn't swing at something to get their input.

Throwing - My daughter has bad habits throwing that constantly sneak back in so we have to focus on this. However at some point they just have to throw. They play pass with good form then start giving each other some grounders, etc. They usually end up by playing burn-out, which is good training as well.

Fielding - Only so much can be done in the tunnel but we do have a good session here. General fielding then have them move to one side and work on range the best we can in there. Meanwhile the other girl is working her 1B skills fielding for me. Various types of fielding, bunt coverage, etc.

Speed Training - Step up drill, Barry Bonds drill, whatever you want to call it I get back a certain distance and throw it as hard as I can while being accurate (don't want to kill them... today) and as long as they can maintain their mechanics I go forward a few steps and maintain my pitching speed. In theory they should maintain their mechanics even when being over powered but only practice will bring that. As long as they have at least fouling some of the pitches I'll keep advancing. Then I start to back up which gives the illusion of throwing change-ups which is good practice as well.

Pitch Recognition - I do work this into the rest of the practice but I specifically go over it here. Little by little they use it all the time and hopefully they will start to react by not even thinking about it.

That usually takes me to the end of the session. A few water breaks where thrown in there. Also for the tee work and throwing I always get them going then wonder off and just keep in eye out for things I need to help them with. I want them to be able to coach themselves to some extent.
