08 Rocket tech--anybody tried one yet?

DD has the 05 & wants a new one for xmas. Has anybody tried out the new 08 model(red barrel w/ blue shaft)? I know the 05 was great, seen thousands of bombs hit with them over the past couple of years. She dosen't want to retire her 05 but I think it has reached the end. Some of her team mates have the 07 model and did very well with them, I know there has been some disappointment over the 07 model. Don't want to drop $250 on an average performance bat.

No difference in 08 and 07, just the paint scheme. I've seen lots of bombs hit with the 07 too.

Check out www.wcsportinggoods.com or www.badmoonbooks.com they have some pretty good prices. We have had real good luck with the 05 and the 07. I did hear the 08 was the 07 with a paint job. And the paint job on the 08 looks good but, the paint job starts to chip and peel real fast.

they are right 08 is just like 07 just different paint scheme . But it cant touch the 05 bat though!
