So, i saw a social media post this morning and I hope it was just a typo or grammer error... but a 16u team is looking for a sub pitcher for a tourney this summer " cause our pitcher is unavailable". Please tell me that a 16u travel team is not trying to play an entire summer with a single pitcher??? OR their plan any given 4gg weekend is to just have 1 pitcher. sure hope it's not hot, she doesn't twist an ankle, line drive hit to the leg, car trouble, or struggle with control on the rubber.... SMH.
How do you field a travel team without at least a bare min of 2 pitcher and 2 catchers???? it's the same bologna where a 12 or 14u (or higher) team thinks it's a plus and actually advertises it that they only roster 9 players. You're 1 fender bender, illness, parental work, interstate traffic delay, vacation, player work, injury, etc, away from not being able to play on any weekend. How does that make sense????
get on a legit team, compete for starting spots, for a coach that rosters bats, rotates players and wins ball games.
