Lasers Orange '08 was in the SEAA World Series in Pigeon Forge, TN this past weekend. We went 4-3 and finished 7th out of 25 teams. We did not play our best ball and never really did have a good hitting game. We did have two memorable back to back elimination game comebacks where we were down by three runs with only three outs left and came back and won both. The scenery was great there and it was nice facing new teams. Congrats to the NKY Bandits '07 will winning the title.

Pool Play

W Intensity Blue- Tennessee

W Alabama Elite 12U- Alabama
W Southern Swat '07- Louisiana

TC ‘Stangs had another good experience this week at the Ohio Emeralds Showdown in Canton at Weis Park. Solid competition and we enjoyed the nice park/field setup. Unique to see all the teams in the tourney field a bit more up close and personal during the break in between games and watch players/coaches of organizations interact. As many of us know, lots of the team and individual growth can happen during those breaks at the bownets and/or coolers full of drinks and food. Lol. We were fortunate to play all the games the tourney would allow and take down the Maddogs in the finals. Maddogs had a good tourney run from what their big scores were showing. TC ‘Stangs look to carry some momentum up to Thunder Elite’s Mayhem tourney near Youngstown this weekend. Platinum bracket looks full of good names. Tip of the cap to all you coaches and good luck on another weekend of healthy and safe softball with your kiddos.

07 Cincy Slammers Blue has been blessed to have a 29-11-1 record this season with all the COVID challenges being faced. This team took 5th at the SE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP "MUSIC CITY USA" July 6-July 11. This is a solid team that has lost, won, made errors, but also have had amazing moments. They are fighters and never give up no matter how hot the temperatures get!!! Taking 2nd and 3rd multiple tournaments in a row then taking 5th in Nationals, this past weekend July 17-19 was the weekend these girls would finally bring home the bling. They went 7-0 to win the Tri-State/Great Lakes Championship. They will play next weekend in the Celine Wyatt tournament in Dublin with great competition. They did well in Finley against the Wizards and Finesse so we except to have a solid weekend. Thankful for great coaches, players, and parents.

In our 1st year of 12U, as a true 11U team, the Ohio Storm 08 has had a very good season. The Storm was off this past weekend and will finish up it's season with 3 events. We will play in the Celine Wyatt tournament this weekend, followed by 12U Eastern Nationals in Findlay, and will end the season at the PGF Super Select in N.Ridgeville Aug 7-9. The team in the last 3 tournaments has won the 2020 Firecracker Classic and finished runner-up at the 12U Ohio State Championship in Lancaster. Here is our season at glance. Even with Covid 19 and the cancellation of many tournaments, we have managed to play in 16 Events. Looking forward to the fall, the team will play in the Best of the Midwest Friendlies, PGF Super Select Fall Nationals in Indianapolis, PGF Fall Futures Invitationals and 2020 USA Halloween Havoc.

Overall record 49-16-1
5 Championships
2 Runner-up
1 Third Place

Key wins - West Virginia Ice 07, Central Ohio Ice 07-Zak (2), Lasers Orange, South Jersey Mystics, MOV Pride 07, Ohio Ice Blue, Stingrays 08, Wolfpack-Wolff, WV Sting South 08, Turnin 2 , Southern Ohio Force, Michigan Sabercats, Michigan Renegades, SGS Magic-Hutchieson, JABC Riot 07.
