[quote author=vtail61 link=1210269629/0#17 date=1210350280]Wouldn't it be helpful to have a place on OFC to post scores weekly? ?It is very difficult to review scores from different teams when there is no central depository. ?

I would have a hard time believing college polls if I couldn't watch the games or review scores in the newspaper. ?Likewise it would lend credence to any polls on OFC if I could also easily see who is playing who and what the actual scores were.

As it stands we tend to get a few scores from a few tournaments. ?Team websites are poorly updated and difficult to locate. ?In general it is difficult to keep up with the multitude of teams we have in OH, PA, WV etc.

I know this has come up in past years. ?

I was thinking the same thing!

I sent an IM to Bear concerning this idea. Keep in mind that Bear is the one that knows how to set up something like this but he is also a very busy person. His DD is preparing for the Districts and likely the Regionals. He is also preparing for the upcoming summer season. It may be a back burner idea but I think it has merit.

Now, if we did this - we are going to need some people to be responsible for posting all results. The idea I have is a Tournament Results section with a subsection for all age groups, which may mean multiple posts for various age groups. This site is the best due to the input of it's members. I know that they are many that will step up to the challenge.

I just wished I knew more about YaBBC to set something up, but I don't. I am just a measly moderator. Bear and Ricky are the backbones of OFC - I am just a vertrabrae......

I'd hate to see scores run up or starting pitchers left in too long for the sake of trying to look good for the pollsters. Shouldn't the team's win-loss record be good enough?

I don't have a problem with that but...if this happened in a championship game - would it be different? ?It ?doesn't matter how much you win by in the championship game. The tourney win should be enough.

From what I saw in Millersport, I was very impressed with the Ohio Classics, Lasers Gold and the Roadrunners. All three teams were fundamentally sound with good pitching. Should make for some interesting match-ups this summer once these girls have had an opportunity to play together on a weekly basis.

I think that was the Ohio Roadrunners in Millersport that the Laser Gold beat because the Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners Blue were scheduled to play in Cortland but were rained out and didn't play last weekend.

Laser Silver lost to Valley Extreme in Stow - 7 -6 - they are a good hitting team. We would have played them again in bracket but got rained out.

We get to see the Emeralds this week, hopefully and then get another opportunity to play the Doom next week in Toledo - will be fun to see them again.

Good luck to everyone. There are some very good teams that are not on here also - coming here from Texas, glad to see Ohio representing
