I find it rather funny how you can make this comment when you are assuming the park is shared this weekend. We have the park Saturday 100% and as our fields come open on Sunday through typical bracket play, yes men's slow pitch will come in and play some games. We do not need all 8 fields in the late afternoon. End Quote=]
If you have use of 100% of fields on saturday and still need use of other location, it sure sounds like you over booked teams. If you didn't have the men's league coming in sunday afternoon, then maybe the need for the other location in the morning wouldn't be needed. Sounds like you do need all 8 fields since you are relocating part of your tournament to another park!!!!!!!

In addition, anyone that has multiple teams playing will not be charged at Palmer.

Are you saying that anyone who produces a pass or stub from the main park will be able to get into Palmer for free? That would make sense, since every other tournament that I've been to in 5 years has had that policy for multiple fields. This of course (if it is the case) should calm everyone down.

LEftout.. . I am so done with all of this. Over booked would be not be being able to get all of the games in by the original times which went to 9:30 pm under the lights! NO lights, No game. Therefore the loose of 12 games times on Friday night and 12 game times on Saturday night; hence the need for Palmer fields. Simple mathmatics! This just occured last week. . .tournament filled up a month ago and we still have teams calling today wanting in. . . Had we over booked we would have had to have used Shaddy Lane fields.

I, for one, am looking forward to it Feisty. It sounds to me like people just misunderstood the gate fee policy. Good luck!!

There is another post about the OSP over here: http://www.game-ex.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=16712
Maybe we can free up Feisty and post over there about the OSP.
Maybe someone can come up with a letter addressing some of the issues and we can all email it to the OSP management. Customer feedback is a good thing.

Feistymom, We just received the revised schedule and I want to personally thank you for making this experience horrible for my daughter and our family. I just want your organization and OSP to know this. I hope that you will rethink all your schedules long before the next tournament you plan on hosting at this park!!!! This is sure not giving your tournament a positive outlook for future tournaments.

It's pretty amazing people can judge others without knowing them or all the circumstances. Feisty's got nothing to do with the park policies, that's been made clear throughout this thread. Truly, if your daughter will be so upset by playing in this tourny (which hasn't even happened yet), then stay home.

Man, some people complain about everything. How about a little understanding? At least they are trying to communicate what's going on. I've experienced other tournaments who cared a lot less about the participants than this organization.

This is a first year organization at a first year complex. There were bound to be some problems, yet your team still chose to sign up for it. Make the most of it instead of predetermining it will be such a disaster.

Well said.

My fellow Camp Chair Commando's;

Here's the latest wrinkle: "Individual coolers will be allowed at Palmer field, but not at Ohio Sports Park" (From the website)

OSP let you bring in coolers with water bottles last week. They also said nothing about fast food and drinks we carried in. I really think its crazy that people are so worked up about a place they haven't been.

We're just going by what's being printed - which is supposed to be the Final Say....

If you've been there, and say it's not so bad, I believe you. :)

I have just one final question and I'm going to let this go....If OSP gets the gate fees and consessions and Madness gets no cut from them - then who is charging the additional $50 fee to play at Palmer Field -- is it OSP or Madness?????

In one of the earlier posts it's stated that we will not be double charged. However, I think that is incorrect. We (our 10u team) were informed that we need to pay a $50 fee. OK. But I have 3 daughters in this tourney (10u, 14u and 16u playing at 18u) all with same organization. So, I will have to pitch in and pay for the $50 fee and then I will be charged again at OSP. (that's being charged twice) As far as the $5 gate fee itself I feel that's a little crazy. Who cares about the $2 coupon for the concession stand where a small/reg. size bottle of water is 2 bucks. We can go to wal-mart and buy a case for 3.97. I feel sorry for teams who have to play on Friday, triple whammy. Just my "2 cents" or should I say 5 bucks

I have the same problem. I have to pay 5.00 to watch DD play at OSP, and pay 4.00 to watch other DD play at Palmer field. 9 dollars for one day doesn't sound fair to me.
Parents from teams playing at Palmer Fields should be admitted free to OSP or at least at a reduced rate.
Games on Friday night should be at a reduced rate also Mr. Wolff.

we definitely should not have to pay at each field. they are getting the money, just stamp our hand so we can go back and forth. It's not like the stamp will come off when we wash because they don't have running water.

Palmer Fields has no gate fee. Everybody can watch for free, except they are charging the 10U teams for playing there. About 5.00 for each DD. Then they will charge us another 5.00 to watch games at OSP on the same day. Double gate fees for some.

Just emailed the park director about entry fees for those of us who have a friday night game scheduled. I asked him if the Friday entry would be waived or if we should have our parents save wrist bands for the next day. His answer, "It is $5.00 per person per day. Sorry -Tony".

Sorry???? I really don't feel the sincerity there.

Bend over folks!

Got to pay off that lawsuit somehow.
