WE WILL BE UTILIZING WILLIG SOFTBALL FIELDS AND WEIS PARK IN CANTON OHIO FOR THIS YEAR’S FALL SHOWCASE.
16u & 18u (mixed together) Age Bracket Only showcase Willig Fields and Weis Park. Any 16U or 18U team may send in an entry form accompanied with a check. We will NOT be able to hold spots without entry fee. Showcase fills up too quickly.
DATE: Saturday September 25th & Sunday September 26th, 2021 (NO RAIN DATE)

LIMITED AVAILABILITY (24 TEAMS) – Sign up early
This year we will play 4 pool games (90 minutes), (weather permitting); 2 games on Saturday and 2 games on Sunday. ALL teams must have a 2022 ASA SANCTION NUMBER. If not, one can be received prior to your first game. Each manager must report, before your first game to the tournament committee above the concession stand or at the tent near the gate.
** Entries will end once a suitable field of teams have applied and are accepted
ALL GAMES WILL BE 1 hour and 30 minutes and we will finish the inning.
We hope with this format, most games will go 7 innings
(weather permitting) (games can end in a tie)
The CITY of CANTON, and The Ohio Wolfpack Organization, or anyone else involved in the tournament will not be held responsible for any accident or injury sustained during this showcase. Thank you for participating and GOOD LUCK throughout the showcase.

All teams must bring COPIES of the following items TO TURN IN at check-in. (please staple papers in the following order in order to expedite the check-in process for coaches and Tournament Volunteers:
1 – Copy of ASA Sanction Card (2022)
2 – Copy of ASA Roster
3 – Copy of Team Insurance
4 – Copy of ACE Cards for all coaches who have taken the ACE Certification (Required of at least one)
5 – Back Round Checks for ALL Coaches (Required by Ohio ASA) FYI – if all coaches get ACE certified, the Back Round Check is part of the process.
6 – Copy of Concussion Certificates for ALL PEOPLE IN DUGOUT (Required by the State of Ohio)
**This would include scorekeepers if they are located in the dugout during games**

ROSTERS
This tournament is an open roster event within age group guidelines and the use of college players is permitted but not encouraged. Coaches will be asked for rosters at check-in, but you will be able to add players to your roster (Print name(s) and have required signature on Roster). In other words, if a team has to add players in order to participate, you will be able to do so without “officially” adding them to your ASA Roster.

Tournament Rules
1. This Showcase will be played under ASA rules and use ASA Umpires. This is an ASA sanctioned Event. You may bat as many players as you want. You also have unlimited defensive substitution. You may courtesy run with any player not in the game 1st, or last batted out 2nd.
2. ALL teams MUST be ready to play at the scheduled starting times. Each game has a 1 hour 30 minute time slot. Finish the inning. ASA Run rules will be enforced, unless both coaches agree to continue play until time expires. Contest will then end upon completion of the current at bat. You have 1 hour and 30 minutes to play.
3. Warm-Ups: Teams participating at Willig Park may use the areas between the temporary fences and the permanent fencing. While warming up at Weis Park, use areas outside of homerun fencing. DO NOT have pitchers warm up in the spectator seating area at ANY time. NO FULL INFIELD WARM-UPS
4. Insurance: All teams must carry their own insurance. You must show that you have insurance.
5. Birth Certificates: All teams must be able to show if questioned (copy is fine)
6. 1 hour 30 minutes TIME LIMITS in ALL showcase games (weather permitting)
7. All teams are guaranteed 4 games unless weather dictates otherwise. In the event of bad weather the Tournament Director has the right to alter game formats and times.
8. Scorekeepers: The home team shall be considered the official book. Please list first & last names, numbers and positions on your lineup cards. We will flip a coin to determine home team.
9. BOTH TEAMS are required to report the score of each game played (win or lose). You can do

10. Only official tournament personnel, umpires, & college coaches are permitted in the area upstairs above the concession stand. NO PLAYERS!!!
11. ALL games are subject to modified time limits due to bad weather or scheduling issues.

All spectators will need to buy a wrist band at the gate. The wrist band MUST be worn on one of your wrists at ALL times. Up to (3) coaches per team will be issued a free wristband upon registration.
