Nominations for Ohio-West Va. Senior All-Star Game

High School coaches:

We are still taking nominations for the Ohio team for the 3rd annual Ohio-West Virginia Senior All-Star Game at the University of Rio Grande in June. Nominations must come from a player's high school coach and the players must be 2008 grads. ?The three-game series will take place on Wednesday, June 11. ?

Please e-mail nominations to JoeA1010@aol.com before Thursday, Jan. 17. ?Include as much information on each girl as you would like, but at least name, position(s), league, district and state honors and key stats. ?

Ohio won all three games in each of the first two years. Last year's squad featured players who are now playing at various Division I schools around Ohio and beyond, as well as Division II, NAIA and Division III schools. ?

The Ohio team is chosen by Joe Abraham (Thomas Worthington), Angelo Forte (Hilliard Davidson) and Charles Tackett (Tipp City Tippecanoe), who are also the coaches.

Please feel free to forward this information to high school coaches who might not read the Huddle or OFC.

Note that the new deadline for nominations is Thursday, Jan. 17. I mistakenly had it in my head the state coaches' clinic was Jan. 11-12, but it is Jan. 18-19.

To make a nomination, please e-mail JoeA1010@aol.com with as much info as possible, but at least include player name, position(s), high school, pertinent stats, and any league, district or state honors.

I'm going to assume that all these girls play travel ball.....what teams are represented?

Also, it looks like Baker, Barrett, and Brown have signed at Wright State.....any other signees?

Just thought it odd. District champs, only lost a couple of seniors if my memory recalls correctly, would have expected at least one to emerge.
