So far this year...
Zero from the January to March indoor season! ?
(Though I rememeber one year some games were cancelled because the roads were too bad to get there.)
High school/spring season: 5 games cancelled (worked some games in miserable wet or cold conditions).
Summer leagues: Lost 3 in the league where I play and 4 where I umpire (all the league games are leagues where they make up cancelled games, so should get those in).
Tournament/travel games: 6 games cancelled (got lucky when most of the games I was assigned were before the rain hit or were made-up the next day. And, I haven't worked tournies every weekend this year).
That means (discounting indoor) I've lost 18 games due to weather and umpired or played 60, or approximately 25% of my scheduled games. That's higher than normal- it usually runs at about 10-15% most years. (Of course, when you are involved in tournaments, with maybe 5 games in one day, losing one day really skews the average, versus leagues or high school where it's pretty much one game per day.)
But the real killer for me is that "she who commands the household" decided this week was when we would take our usual summer vacation. I'll be out of town during the next two weekends, possibly two of the biggest tournament weekends of the summer. Along with league games, that means that I had to turn down offers to work about 20 games during the next ten day period. Bummer. I guess that's the price you pay for being on a ballfield just about every other day of the summer.
