I saw several of these top 10 in Marysville this weekend. The 12U division has some talented teams. Laser Black and Riptide game was very exciting and the Classic/Doom game that went to ITB was another good one.

From what I have seen on the field so far this spring this poll looks about right to me. My DD's team was ranked #2 in the early weeks but hasn't done enought yet to justify holding onto that spot. Lost to Classics in international tie break. Lost to Lasers Black by one. Split with Riptides and Lasers Blue. Haven't played EMR but have seen them play and they are worthy of top 10 as well. Have not seen any of the others but have heard good things. It will be interesting to see how things play out over the next two months. Good Luck to everyone.

I think the Classics, Riptides, Sting, Lasers Black and Doom will battle all summer. I also think that they seem very evenly matched, and will win some and lose some. I watched the Lasers Gold and they look awesome. It will be interesting to see if any of the five teams I mentioned can give the Gold a good game...if not it will still be fun watching them play each other all summer. I didn't get to see the Strike Zone Fillies but I heard they were tough, and I did get to see the Bombers and they are right up there too. 12U looks like it will be a fun summer. I see 2-7 jumbling around a lot this summer!

I know the Ohio Wave, Laser Blue and SZ Fillies were all at Beavercreek this weekend and were the last three standing. Any other updates from the other 10 ten teams.

The Pickaway County Sting won the Central Ohio Fastpitch Invitational going 6-0 and outscoring their opponents 83-4. The Central Ohio Vipers finished 4th as well. The Sting are a very solid team, I believe they are a top five type team. They have pitching depth, they can go deep into the lineup offensively and can break out the small ball if they have to. Very solid team, I came away very impressed.

Thanks Statman - that Twitter-thing will serve a purpose sooner or later. We went 7-0 with run rule in each game and defensively giving up only 4 runs. And, the girls got to stay at a waterpark hotel which they thought was pretty cool.

Back in Toledo this weekend for NQ with a trip to Normal IL on the line. Michigan Bulldogs and Ann Arbor Gold in 2 meaningless pool games (blind draw for DE).

The next weekend should be a lot of fun, Lasers Gold, Doom96, Indy Thunder and Lasers Black in 3 pool game DE tourney in Marion Rebellion. Should be some good softball played that weekend.
